Overview

DCL Logistics offers the possibility to let other applications connect to it through Remote APIs. These simple, powerful, and secure application programming interfaces - based upon REST and SOAP - allows DCL to be integrated with other third applications. Both SOAP and REST can be used to implement similar functionality, but in general SOAP should be used when a particular feature of SOAP is needed, and the advantages of REST make it generally the best option otherwise.

DCL Logistics also integrates with most online storefronts, marketplaces, and shopping carts. With our eCommerce integrations, we give you easy tools to fulfill your orders from the most popular eCommerce platform in a very few steps.

One of the backbones of eCommerce is EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), a standard method of exchanging files that has been around since the 1980’s. EDI is used in some degree in almost every industry. DCL can process EDI using direct FTP or AS2 communications.

REST API

The full and deep documentation of the DCL RESTful API can be found here: https://api.dclcorp.com/. The site also offers a functional simple interface to test any API so no coding is needed to see any API response data.

Consuming a RESTful Web Service is relatively easy and it should be considered your first choice for implementing the client side.

SOAP API

The DCL SOAP API is based on open standards known collectively as web services, which include the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Web Services Definition Language (WSDL). You can access the SOAP API WSDL at the link: https://www.efactory.dclcorp.com/webservices/dclwebservice.asmx.

Sample Code for C#, PHP, Python and Ruby can be found here.

EDI connection

Our EDI management solution allows you to connect to any retailers with an EDI portal connection to eFactory providing a dashboard view of all EDI feeds and order history. Of course, we also have the experience and flexibility to work with other third party EDI providers as well.

eCommerce integrations

DCL eCommerce integrations allow DCL customers to seamlessly and immediately integrate their existing order platform and ecommerce store with DCL's fulfillment platform. The new API accelerates systems integration from weeks to minutes reducing management costs so customers can focus on revenue generation.

Below is a list of the eCommerce platforms we currently support, while we are expanding to support even more. Stay tuned!
